The Last of Us II was one of the most highly anticipated sequels in video game history, and preventing leaks was a top priority. So how did we advertise a game when 99% of the details were off limits? We told the story through Ellie’s reactions to the world around her, telegraphing the narrative arc of the game without giving away any of its secrets.
